In our previous posts we told you a bit about who we are and what our project is about.

But how will our research help students?

The integration of adaptive and mobile e-learning in our Italian language beginner classes is expected to provide the following benefits for the student learning experience:

  1. Personalised exercises for language reinforcement. Students can practice their language skills at a level automatically assessed by the software.
  2. Automated, instant feedback on exercises and personal profile on learning progress. Through the learning software, the students can monitor their progress, strengths and weaknesses.
  3. Regular, frequent, flexible language practice (as a good practice to learn languages).
  4. Better quality of contact hours and better engagement with campus life. The e-learning software will offer the students a more regular, flexible and engaging way for the autonomous practising of language skills. In this way, classroom time will be more efficiently  dedicated to the explanation of new concepts and to linguistic interaction with other students and the teachers.
  5. Engagement with with a single learning platform. Thanks to integration of McGraw-Hill Connect® and Blackboard, the students will be able to access a single learning platform where materials, assignments and assessments are more effectively blended.

The semester is not too far away and we are excited to start this new adventure!
